AAU embraces the workshop about “Mechanism and Standards for Global Pharmacies Accreditation”

 

Al Ain University represented by the College of Pharmacy hosted the workshop about “Mechanism and Standards for Global Pharmacies Accreditation” in cooperation with the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), it was attended by representatives from Ministry of Health in UAE, representatives from Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD), representatives from Dubai Health Authority (DHA), representatives from the National Health Insurance Company (DAMAN), Prof. Abdelhafid Belarbi -AAU Vice President- (Al Ain Campus), Dr. Khairi Mustafa –Dean of the College of Pharmacy- and university’s academic staffs.

The workshop was presented by elite members of the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), where the presentation was on the global standards for adoption of pharmacies and how it is to be evaluated by ACHC.

The workshop concluded with determining the accreditation standards of pharmacies in UAE and the Middle East, in addition to adopt the proposal of establishing the "First Arab Forum for Pharmacies Accreditation".

In line with the vision of H.H Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan –UAE President- to make UAE a standard for the quality and leadership, this workshop comes to spread the culture of excellence in the educational and health institutions.

Choosing Al Ain University represented by the College of Pharmacy to embrace this workshop comes in recognition of, considering it as one of the leading universities that have obtained the International Accreditation from the (ACPE).
