AAU Accounting and Banking students visit the “Central Bank”

 

As part of the linkage between the University courses and the real world business organization, including the Business Collaboration between the academic world and industry to give our students the opportunity to link theoretical topics and areas into practical projects, the College of Business, Department of Accounting and Finance & Banking and the Professional Development Unit organized an educational scientific visit for, the Accounting and banking students to one of the important financial services institutions in UAE, Central Bank of UAE, Al Ain Branch.

The students have been offered an opportunity to have a real field experience in the banking operations lead by Mr. Rashed Al Shamisi, Senior Head of Banking Operation Section.  Also, Mr. Ali Nayel Al Nuaimi, Manager Al Ain Branch, Central Bank provided an overall presentation on; the functions, organization, and activities of the Central Bank, as well as information relating to banks and other financial institutions that fall under the supervision of the Central Bank.

The education field trip has been organized by Dr. Adel Ahmed, faculty member of the College of Business and the director of professional development unit, who expressed his delight on the benefits our students get from these type of collaborations, between the academic institutions and the business organization which is recognized as an important moments in learning, as it provides the opportunity for students to encounter and explore real-life experiences.  The students expressed their happiness with this journey, in which they learned about the main responsibility of the Central Bank in the formulation and implementation of banking, credit and monetary policies, to ensure the growth of the national economy of the UAE in a balanced manner. Also, they learned about the vision and mission of the central banks regarding promoting monetary and financial stability towards sustainable economic UAE growth.
