The “Moot Court” an embodiment of the legal culture acquired by the student

 

The College of Law students at Al Ain University of Science and Technology represented a legal scene during the “Moot Court” organized by the College of Law at Al Ain Campus. The court was presented by two teams, one representing the Prosecution, the second representing the defense, and it was attended by Prof. Mustafa Kandil Dean of the College of Law, Colleges Deans, a number of faculties and administrative staffs, students, and representatives of the courts, legal institutions and government bodies that have been training students.

In this context, Prof. Mustafa Kandil said that, organizing the moot court is a practical application of the university's vision to develop and support the training side of its students, because the academic side is not limited to, receiving legal sciences in the classrooms, but to train students to gain good experience in their practical life after graduation.

The moot court was accompanied by an exhibition of law students' work on various legal subjects. The students also explained through their work the most important constitutional resources in the Constitution of the UAE in 1971, in addition to the exhibition of UAE currency and its development by the Union until the present time.

It is worth to mention that the College of Law at Al Ain University organize the Moot Court each semester in order to provide the students with the skills of legal procedures and qualify them to be judges and prosecutors of the future.
