“Ramadan: Health and Balance” Promotes Healthy Living During the Holy Month

As part of the University’s commitment to promoting health awareness and fostering a culture of healthy living, the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Al Ain campus organized a health awareness event titled “Ramadan: Health and Balance.” The initiative was held a series of community-oriented campaigns aimed at residents of Al Ain City in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan.

The event began with an engaging panel discussion featuring Dr. Aisha Abdullah Al Mulla, Clinical Dietitian at Tawam Hospital, in the presence of students, academics, and health enthusiasts. The session addressed the importance of maintaining a balanced diet during Ramadan and highlighted the role of proper nutrition in sustaining energy and overall well-being throughout fasting hours.

The discussion also focused on healthy dietary practices, effective meal planning between Iftar and Suhoor, the importance of adequate hydration, and avoiding unhealthy eating habits that may negatively affect one’s health. The session witnessed notable interaction from attendees, whose questions and contributions enriched the discussion and enhanced the educational value of the event.

This initiative reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to community service, strengthening partnerships with healthcare institutions, and promoting health awareness to help build a healthier and more balanced society.
