Research Interests

Synthesis and characterization of heterocyclic compounds of biological significance in the fields of anticancer, antiviral, antimicrobial, antiangiogenesis, anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective activities. Structure based drug design including X-ray crystallography, molecular modeling and synthetic medicinal chemistry.

Experience in designing and conducting multistep syntheses of biologically active organic compounds for the development of new and improved drugs. An extensive knowledge of modern chromatographic, spectroscopic and analytical techniques including HPLC, NMR, IR, UV-vis, and MS. A considerable experience in drug formulations and biological assays.
