College Of Pharmacy Students Complete SKMC InternshipA number of final year students of the AAU College of Pharmacy, who have received their hospital and clinical pharmacy internship at SKMC in Abu Dhabi, participated in the final presentation in the presence of Dr. Khairi Moustafa, Dean of the College of pharmacy, along with the clinical training coordinator in the college of pharmacy, the clinical pharmacy manager, the professionals who supervised the training as well as Dr. Sahar Abu Omar, a Senior Clinical Affairs Specialist at SEHA.

The presentations showed the students’ skills in presenting and discussing the latest pharmacotherapies guidelines for many diseases which they have acquired during their training at SKMC.  Dr. Moustafa expressed the AAU College of Pharmacy’s great appreciation to the support SEHA has given in the internship stages and thanked the clinical pharmacy manager, Dr. Heba Al Kholy, and her team at SKMC for their relentless efforts and cooperation in the internship program. The event represented a good chance to discuss future cooperation between SEHA, the department of Pharmacy at SKMC and the AAU College of Pharmacy, Dr. Moustafa added.

In a similar context, the final year students of the AAU College of Pharmacy have completed their industrial pharmacy internship program at Neopharma pharmaceutical factory in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Mosab Arafat, the college of pharmacy industrial training coordinator, conveyed the AAU College of Pharmacy’s appreciation to the administration at Neopharma for their continuous cooperation in the arrangements and supervision of the industrial training program for our students.

Dr. Arafat pointed that conducting the students’ internship programs at different sites is intended to help them acquire the necessary competence to enrich their professional and field experience and to be qualified to confidently access the job market.
