Overview
The College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University (AAU) was established in the academic year 2006–2007 with a commitment to excellence in pharmacy education, research, professional practice, and community engagement. Since its establishment, the College has continued to evolve in response to the changing needs of the healthcare sector and the pharmaceutical profession, offering academic programs that prepare graduates for diverse roles in healthcare and pharmaceutical practice.
The College offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs that provide a strong foundation in pharmaceutical, biomedical, clinical, and professional sciences. The Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSc. Pharm) program provides comprehensive education and training in pharmaceutical sciences, clinical sciences, pharmacy practice, and professional skills, preparing graduates for diverse roles in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
In 2026, the College expanded its professional education with the launch of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program. The program is designed to develop highly competent pharmacists with advanced knowledge, clinical skills, and patient-centered practice competencies, integrating pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences with progressive clinical education and extensive experiential training.
At the postgraduate level, the College offers the Master of Science in Clinical Pharmacy (MSCP), which integrates advanced theoretical knowledge with case-based learning, clinical experiences, and research training. The Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (MSPS) prepares graduates with advanced knowledge and research skills to contribute to innovation in pharmaceutical sciences, academia, industry, and healthcare.
In addition to pharmacy programs, the College offers the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics (BSND), which provides comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in nutrition and dietetics, with an emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, and the nutritional management of health conditions.
The College is supported by modern laboratories and advanced facilities that promote hands-on learning, research, and innovation, and maintains partnerships with healthcare institutions, pharmaceutical organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance experiential learning, research, and professional development.
