Al Ain University Participates in the 2015 Duphat Exhibition
H.E. Engineer Issa Al Maidoor, General Director of the Dubai Health Authority, visited Al Ain University that participated in the Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technologies Exhibition (Duphat 2015), and was greeted by Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, the AAU Chancellor, who explained to him about the university and the College of Pharmacy, in particular. He elaborated to him that the Bachelor of Pharmacy program is a blend of scientific theories and practice through training in pharmaceutical factories, hospitals and private pharmacies.
It’s the university’s fourth consecutive year in taking part in this exhibition in recognition of its grandness that brings together the largest companies and foundations operating in the field of Pharmacy and pharmacy colleges in different universities under one roof. The AAU College of Pharmacy’s participation included studies, medical researches, scientific posters and pictures, which was a large turnout of attendees.
Dr. Noor commented that the university's participation in the show is mainly to focus along the importance of employing scholars in scientific conferences and exhibitions that introduce them to the latest developments, research and innovative subjects. He added that AAU has always been participating in the Duphat exhibitions to push the students to pass along with medical institutions, to disclose their qualifications, and to access to the latest developments and experiences surrounding them in order to pursue with the recent developments in the field of Pharmacy.
Dr. Khairi Mustafa, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University, said “The university is climbing the steps towards modern scientific developments to keep in pace with modern teachings. Our participation within this framework offers opportunities for pupils to take part in specialized scientific conferences and hold direct contacts with the labor market related to scientific competence as pharmaceutical factories and data societies. Not to cite, the various colleges of pharmacy participating in the show from inside and outside the UAE."
