AAU organizes the Annual Graduation Gathering 2016

 

Under the slogan “You have been the ambassadors of science and knowledge and still you are”, The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University –Al Ain Campus- organized the second Annual Graduation Gathering for its graduates, in the presence of Prof. Ghaleb El Refae –AAU President, Prof. Abdulhafeed Belarabi –AAU Vice President, Dr. Ibtehal Aburezeq –Dean of Student Affairs, Colleges Deans, Academic Staff and the graduates students from different batches.

The meeting started with a speech of the Dean of Students Affairs, where she considered it as an opportunity for the graduates to exchange experiences, memories, meet their colleagues and professors who have benefited from their experience throughout their years of study, It is also an opportunity to learn more about the experiences of other graduates after their graduation.

For his part, Prof. El Refae stressed on the importance of this meeting in terms of continuity of communication among graduates after graduation, praising on the interaction between the students and their university. He also mentioned the most important achievements by Al Ain University over the past years, such as, the new campus of the university at Abu Dhabi and the continuity of obtaining the International accreditation for the universities’ programs which would effect positively on the quality of education and the certificate.

AAU President announced the new change on some of the college’s names by the Ministry of Education - Higher Education Affairs, where the College of Engineering and Information Technology changed to be the “College of Engineering”, and the name of the College of Business Administration changed to be the “College of Business”.

The meeting included different activities, most notable was the withdraw on gifts, provide a free card for every graduate, which offers many advantages that can be utilized in various fields, The students also spoke about their personal experiences after graduation and their present workplaces.

At the end of the meeting, a group photo of the academic staff and graduate were taken, They also exchanged conversations, experiences, and tips that would benefit students in their working lives.
