Al Ain University Promotes Tolerance Values in Summer Camps

Al Ain University represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, Al Ain Campus, participated in the “Tolerance Days” within the summer camp organized by the Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Ministry of Tolerance in Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain, Fujairah and Sharjah, which includes scientific, educational and recreational programs and workshops to stimulate the tolerance in student’s personality.

Al Ain University students were a great example of volunteering by overseeing the activities of Tolerance Day and assisting supervisors. In addition to presenting a workshop on tolerance for school students, which included activities, competitions and entertainment games such as; drawing, coloring, writing messages, designing airplanes and pyramids to strength the value of tolerance within them.

Dr. Ibtehal Abu Rezeq, Dean of Student Affairs, said that Al Ain University was keen to have a special role in this initiative, which instills the values of tolerance, cooperation and equality among students without discrimination, noting that the activities provided by the Deanship of Student Affairs contribute to build the tolerant personality of students, giving them the opportunity to express themselves and increase their self-confidence.

AAU students expressed their happiness in this experience which gave them an opportunity to promote high values in children, stressing the importance of volunteering, which allows them to identify and interact with a larger segment of society and gain new experiences in the future.
