The College of Pharmacy meets its new students Virtually
The College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi campuses, organized a virtual meeting through Microsoft Teams with its new students who joined the university in the first semester of the academic year 2020-2021. In the presence of Dr. Khairi Mustafa, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Mohammed Ghattas, Deputy Dean, academic staff and pharmacy students.
The Pharmacy Dean, welcomed the new students, wishing them an academic year full of positivity and success, and advising them to be diligent and handworkers, stressing the keenness of all professors in the College of Pharmacy to support all the students, and recommending new students to follow up with the academic advisor.
For his part, the Deputy Dean, stressed on the importance of making a balance between the academic and entertainment aspects during the studying years, pointing to the importance of the time management, prioritization, trying to overcome tension, developing creative thinking and focusing on various aspects of university life that would contribute to acquire new skills and discover the strengths of the student’s personalities.
Due to the current situations of the Corona pandemic, prevented students from attending the university and applying the hybrid education. The college of pharmacy introduced the university's and college facilities in both campuses by presenting a series of introductory videos. Also, the new students had a brief on courses registration, study plan, course descriptions, students' rights and responsibilities, extracurricular activities and community engagement part.
Pharmacy students from previous years participated in the meeting by sharing their successful stories and experiences with new students to convey interest and spread positivity.
