Advisory Council Discusses Community Partnerships and Student Support
The Dean of Student Affairs held the second meeting of the Advisory Council at the Abu Dhabi campus, as part of efforts to enhance partnerships with various community institutions, activate the supportive role for students academically and professionally, and instill values of national responsibility and community participation among them.
The meeting was opened by prof. Amer Qasem, Vice President of the University, who welcomed the council members and emphasized the important role that academic institutions play in preparing students to become leaders of the future. He praised the active role of the Advisory Council in supporting the efforts of the Dean's Office and achieving its objectives, and he honored the council members in appreciation of their efforts and fruitful cooperation during the year.
For her part, Dr. Nuha Hamada, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, reviewed the role of the Dean's Office in providing academic, psychological, and social support to students, emphasizing the importance of the Advisory Council as an effective link between the Dean's Office and various community institutions, contributing to enhancing cooperation, exchanging experiences, and launching joint initiatives.
The meeting witnessed the presentation of several developmental ideas and proposals by council members, which could form the nucleus for qualitative initiatives that serve students and the community in various fields, reflecting the commitment of participating entities to support students and empower them to play an active and impactful role in society.
At the end of the meeting, the members confirmed the importance of continuing joint work to develop initiatives that contribute to supporting students and enhancing the state's directions in the fields of sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility, agreeing to follow up on the implementation of recommendations and evaluate the impact of the proposed initiatives during the next meeting.
