Al Ain University Celebrates World Pharmacists Day 2026
The College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University celebrated World Pharmacists Day 2026 across its Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses under the theme “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures.” The celebrations brought together faculty members, students, and representatives from the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors to highlight the vital role of pharmacists in promoting public health and improving the quality of patient care.
At the Abu Dhabi Campus, the event featured two keynote sessions. Dr. Amrou Abubakr delivered a talk titled “Future Ready: The Skills No Degree Can Teach You,” while Dr. Zeyad Elgamal presented “How to Build Healthy Habits That Stick.” Both sessions emphasized the importance of professional development, essential life skills, and adopting healthy lifestyle practices to support personal and professional growth.
The event also welcomed representatives from several pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations, including Sebamed, Pharmalink, Royal Medical Center, Al Manara Pharmacy, and Medicina Pharmacy. Their participation provided an opportunity to strengthen connections between the University and healthcare industry stakeholders, highlighting the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and healthcare organizations in preparing future pharmacists to meet the evolving demands of the profession.
Meanwhile, at the Al Ain Campus, students from the College of Pharmacy organized a health exhibition showcasing their projects in pharmacy and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The celebrations highlighted the contributions of pharmacists to the healthcare sector, promoted awareness of professional development and healthy living, and strengthened collaboration between academia and industry. They also provided students with valuable opportunities to engage directly with healthcare professionals, learn from their experiences, and gain broader insights into the future of pharmacy and its career development opportunities.
