In cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs Faculty of Pharmacy organizes a lecture entitled (Environment, Health and Safety in the Pharmaceutical Industry)
The College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University –Al Ain Campus, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a lecture entitled (Environment, Health and Safety in the Pharmaceutical Industry), presented by Dr. Sadaf Shaheen, Training Coordinator - Quality Assurance Department, Neopharma Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company.
The lecture was attended by Dr. Mustafa Khairi, Dean, of the college of Pharmacy at Al Ain University, and a group of faculty members and students of the college.
Dr. Sadaf started with an explanation of the Pharmaceutical Industry concept, and the development stages in UAE, then she talked about the international standards of the quality assurance in pharmaceutical manufacturing, stressing on the importance of following the laws and conditions imposed by the Health Authority in Abu Dhabi that related to this field, and the importance of providing a suitable environment for workers and medicines, in addition to achieve the safety elements.
She also stressed on the need to educate workers in pharmaceutical factories, how to use the machines and medicines and to take precautions, in addition to providing appropriate clothing and equipment, which maintains the integrity and safety of the environment around them, and the importance of the presence of a responsible person to direct them and guide them.
In this context, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy stressed on the importance of this lecture to the students of the college, to learn about the specifications and conditions used in the pharmaceutical industry, which adds to their knowledge and expertise, and benefit them at the university level.
The lecture concluded with the questions and discussion, also Dr. Mustafa Khairi Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy honored Dr. Sadaf Shaheen in recognition of her efforts.
