Innovative Projects for the Holy Month of Ramadan

In collaboration with the College of Engineering, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University (Abu Dhabi Campus) facilitated an opportunity for students to commemorate Ramadan by creating innovative projects. Dr. Noha Hamada, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, and Engineer Huda Al-Hayh supervised the students in this initiative.

Hossam El-Din, a student from the College of Engineering, executed the first project titled "The Speaking Crescent." This project involved creating an electronic board that operates on the Arduino system and a voice recorder. The device greets passers-by and congratulates them on the holy month of Ramadan through a motion sensor that is linked to the electronic board.

The second project was carried out by Mohammed Al-Shehhi, another student from the College of Engineering. He designed and printed 3D gifts for Ramadan utilizing a 3D printer. The students were empowered to create diverse figures in novel ways through this technology.

Al Ain University's commitment to advancing scientific and practical education, as well as fostering innovation and creativity, is exemplified in these projects. The university aims to improve students' scientific and technical competencies and cultivate a culture of innovation.
