More than 50 Students in the College of Pharmacy Training Program for 11th and 12th Grade Students

The College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University, both campuses in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, organized a training program for 11th and 12th grade students. Over 50 students of various nationalities, including those from the UAE, Jordan, Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India, participated in the program.

The training program was conducted over two periods: from June 24 to July 2, and from July 8 to July 16, 2024. During this time, participants engaged in various laboratory activities covering different topics and fields, including pharmaceutical analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmaceutics, microbiology, molecular modeling, and research laboratories. They also visited the virtual pharmacy and took part in a two-hour role-play session. Additionally, participants were given a tour of the university to familiarize themselves with the colleges, facilities, and services available.

At the end of the training, participants delivered presentations about their experiences during the program in the presence of the college Dean, Prof. Mohammad Ghattas, and other college staff members. Certificates of participation and symbolic gifts from the university were also handed out.

Prof. Ghattas stated that such training programs serve as an important platform for students who are passionate about pharmacy and interested in exploring the world of medicine, as well as those with a keen interest in nutrition and healthy living. These programs offer an opportunity for students to enhance their skills and educate themselves, especially if they are considering studying pharmacy in the future.
