Biography
Dr. Yazan Ranneh stands at the forefront of clinical nutrition, seamlessly blending expertise in medical nutrition therapy with a profound understanding of functional foods and their applications in treating chronic diseases. With a focus on the interaction between nutrients and gene expression, Dr. Ranneh conducts pioneering in vivo and in vitro trials, notably in co-culture research. However, Yazan's contributions to the field extend beyond the laboratory walls. Drawing upon his extensive experience as a clinical dietitian in Malaysia's Gleneagles Hospitals and Ireland's Saint Mary Hospital, he brings a unique blend of practical insight and academic rigor to his teaching endeavors. His teaching methods, tailored to resonate with dietetic students, reflect a deep understanding of real-world challenges and the transformative power of evidence-based practice.

Ph.D. Clinical Nutrition, University Putra Malaysia
Research Interests
My research interests lie at the intersection of clinical nutrition and functional medicine, with a focus on exploring the therapeutic potential of functional foods in the management of chronic diseases. I am particularly intrigued by the intricate interplay between nutrients and gene expression, and my work involves conducting innovative in vivo and in vitro trials to elucidate underlying mechanisms. Additionally, I am deeply committed to investigating the complex relationship between the microbiota and intestinal epithelial cells in co-culture systems. Through my research, I aim to contribute to the development of evidence-based strategies that optimize health outcomes and promote personalized approaches to nutrition therapy.
